What are hand-tied hair extensions?

Hand-tied hair extensions are the new & improved, exclusive hair extensions method. The hair extensions are strategically placed in rows in the hair by creating a "track" with an exlcusive beading technique. Wefts are then placed on the track and sewn in. We custom color and cut the hair ensuring a seamless blend with a natural and beautiful look.

How long does it take?

You are in and out of the salon in less than 3 hours!
(If you've worn extensions before you know how great this sounds)

What kind of hair is used?

I use high quality, 100% remy human hair from a single donor without silicone coating.

Who is a good candidate for hand-tied extensions?

The ideal candidate for hand-tied extensions must have hair that is at least shoulder length, and layers no shorter than cheekbone. Since this is a customizeable method, I recommend filling out a client application form to ensure that this method is a good fit for you. Please attach photos of your current hair and your desired look.

Can I wear my hair up in a pony tail?

Y E S ! You are able to wear your hair in a pony tail along with many other versatile styles without anything showing!

What products should I use on my extensions?

I recommend using a sulfate-free moisturizing shampoo & conditioner when you wash your hair and a moisturizing masque every 2-3 times. I also recommended using a leave-in detangler and hydrating serum when brushing through the hair. Extensions need more moisture than your natural hair, so keeping them hydrated ensures a soft and healthy look! I have some great products in my studio and we can dicuss which products work best for your hair needs. I will provide you with a detangler and a meantenance guide on your first appointment day with helpful tips on taking care of your new hair! I cannot vouch for any products bought online or drug store - After investing on getting your dream hair, it's crucial that you also invest in the products that help maintain it's health!

How often do I have to get new hair?

Blonde hair will generally need to be replaced a little sooner than brunette hair, as it has been processed more. The longevity will also depend on how well the hair is taken care of; most clients can expect their hair to last 6-10 months. Hair can definitely last longer than these estimates if it is well maintained!

How often do I have to come in for maintenance appointments?

Move-up appointments are required every 8-12 weeks; this will depend on how fast your hair grows. The wefts and track will be removed, a new track will be created and the hair will be reinstalled.

Will my hair get tangled while I'm sleeping?

I highly recommend sleeping with your hair in a low, loose braid. Brush out your hair, add some oil if needed, and put it in a side braid or braided pigtails. This will give you some great waves for the next day as well! Also, never sleep with wet hair! I recommend always using a wet brush for extensions, as they are more gentle on your hair.

Can I swim with extensions?

Yes, you can! I suggest brushing a leave-in conditioner in your hair and putting your hair into a loose braid or ponytail. You should detangle with a wet brush and wash your hair as soon as you are done to make sure the salt or chlorine is removed and doesn't dry out your hair. Chlorine can some times cause your natural hair & extension hair to turn green if you are a frequent swimmer, so please keep that in mind and use a protective product before getting in the water. You must keep sunscreen off of the extension hair! Especially if you have blonde hair because there are instances where the sunscreen turns the color of the extensions into a peach color which is not reversible and will need to be replaced with new hair.

Will people be able to see the extensions?

The hand-tied extension method is seamless and no one should be able to notice that you are weating them... Even when the wind blows!
